Job summary

Chemring Energetics UK is seeking a Production Manager to lead assigned production teams, delivering safe, compliant, high-quality and efficient manufacturing performance in line with business objectives.

You will manage Team Leaders, Unit Leaders, Technicians, Operators and Agency personnel, ensuring skills and competence for safe operation and continuous improvement. A strong people leader with judgement and proactive approach is required to drive improvements across a busy site.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership in manufacturing environments.
• Experience delivering safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills across teams.
• Proactive approach to risk identification and issue resolution.
• Experience in performance management and workforce planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead production teams to meet safety, quality, delivery and cost targets.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and coach teams, including succession planning and development plans.
• Maintain safe, efficient operations and asset care across assigned areas.
• Drive continuous improvement, waste reduction and productivity initiatives.
