Niftylift Ltd is searching for a Production Manager to lead the Hoyland manufacturing site, driving safe, efficient production aligned with company goals. You’ll manage people, processes and layouts to optimise throughput and quality while controlling costs.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in production leadership, Lean manufacturing knowledge, and an engineering degree. The role is site-based with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a Production Management role within a Manufacturing environment.
• Preferably Automotive background (not essential), must demonstrate an understanding of Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques.
• Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline or evidence of extensive experience working in an engineering / production environment.
• Computer literate: Standard Microsoft tools, Excel, Word, Powerpoint. ERP system user.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead the site production, in line with company strategy and KPIs.
• Organise and utilise material, staff, processes and layout with safety and cost targets.
• Eliminate bottlenecks and drive throughput improvements.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing techniques and single piece flow where applicable.
• Measure, report and manage performance indicators within each team.
• Support new product introduction and outsourcing activities.
• Develop people and training aligned with new methods and products introduced.
• Ensure ISO 9001/ISO14001/18001 compliance and H&S improvements.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards in the facility.
• Plan daily output targets using Kanban min/max and line speed changes.
• Manage overtime and direct labour costs to improve efficiency.
