Job summary

Teledyne UK in Lincoln is seeking a capable Production Manager to lead day-to-day manufacturing of high-performance RF and microwave products. You will drive safety, quality, on-time delivery and continuous improvement, while developing teams and coordinating with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Facilities.

The role demands strong leadership, production planning, and a track record of delivering operational improvements in high-reliability environments such as electronics or aerospace.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Production/Manufacturing Manager role.
• Experience in high-reliability manufacturing environments (electronics, aerospace or defence).
• Strong understanding of production planning and delivery execution.
• Experience developing manufacturing teams and improving workforce capability.
• Excellent communication, planning and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead production teams to achieve safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives.
• Drive production output, operational performance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure production schedules are executed and customer commitments met.
• Lead recovery actions for missed deliveries and capacity challenges.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Facilities to resolve issues and improve performance.
• Support introduction of new products into manufacture.
• Develop team capability through coaching, training and performance management.
• Drive cross-training and reduce single points of failure to improve flexibility.
• Maintain compliance with procedures, quality standards and health & safety requirements.
