ABOUT THIS ROLE

Audible Studios are looking for an experienced professional Production Manager to work within the existing scripted content team to handle end-to-end production management on selected scripted drama projects. Responsibilities include building teams of external creatives, in-house casting, talent deal-making, negotiation, and talent-related initiatives.

ABOUT YOU

You're comfortable working at high volume with multiple stakeholders, reacting quickly to changing priorities. You will have strong relationships with acting agents, production companies, and freelancers, and will proactively strengthen and expand these relationships. You will be recognized as a key individual for drama production and casting both within and outside the company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Lead end-to-end production of selected titles, identifying external partners, developing partnerships, and managing timelines, deliverables, and communication.
  2. Possess in-depth industry knowledge, actively listening to professional and emerging productions.
  3. Uphold Audible's commitment to quality production and innovation.
  4. Book, negotiate, and assemble production teams, including drafting staff contracts.
  5. Lead casting initiatives, host meetings, gather feedback, and coordinate with stakeholders.
  6. Support external production teams through regular meetings, updates, and decision-making.
  7. Study scripts and understand casting requirements, nurturing relationships with key agents.
  8. Work with freelancers or companies on casting, ensuring diversity, inclusion, and authenticity.
  9. Negotiate and finalize talent deals, working with legal teams when necessary, to protect Audible’s interests.
  10. Coordinate performance and promotional services, including managing audition processes.
  11. Manage bookings, hospitality, and ensure timely obtaining of licenses or visas.
  12. Implement tracking systems for deals and projects.
  13. Expand opportunities for emerging talent through workshops and initiatives.
  14. Collaborate with PR, Marketing, and Content teams to support promotion efforts.
  15. Share best practices with international peers to ensure global visibility and consistency.
