We’re looking for a proactive and experienced Production Manager to lead the operations at our Newbury site. If you’re passionate about performance, safety, and continuous improvement — and thrive on driving results through people — this is your opportunity to make a real impact in a critical leadership role.

About the role:

As Production Manager, you’ll take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of our manufacturing operations. You’ll lead by example, ensuring safety, quality, efficiency and sustainability are embedded in everything we do. You’ll manage a dedicated team, control site costs, champion process improvements, and work closely with other departments to deliver our business goals.

What you'll be doing:

Leading all site activities to ensure efficient, safe and timely production that meets and exceeds business targets

Driving a strong Health & Safety culture, meeting all legal and company standards

Overseeing production performance and implementing OEE improvements across operations

Managing labour and resources effectively to maximise site productivity

Championing continuous improvement and innovation in all areas including quality, maintenance, energy and waste

Building and developing a high-performing team through coaching, training and performance management

Overseeing HR matters including absence, lateness and discipline with consistency and fairness

Collaborating cross-functionally with Commercial, Logistics and Supply Chain teams to ensure business alignment

Reporting key operational metrics and managing site costs to meet budget expectations

Leading with a hands-on, solutions-focused mindset – always looking for better ways to work

What we're looking for:

Proven operational or production management experience in a manufacturing environment

A self-motivated, hands-on leader who leads by example and inspires others to perform

Strong background in process optimisation, lean practices and performance improvement

Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships at all levels

Strategic thinker with a strong focus on delivery, problem solving, and efficiency

Experience in a fast-paced environment – building materials experience is a bonus, not a must

NEBOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification is desirable

Relevant management qualifications and strong working knowledge of operational KPIs

What we offer in return:

Competitive salary and Company Annual Bonus Scheme

Up to 10% employer pension contribution and life assurance

Generous holiday allowance, with options to buy or sell leave

Access to a range of benefits including Gym membership discount, Cycle to Work Scheme, and Employee Assistance Programme (for you and your family)

Participation in our Sharesave Scheme and Referral Bonus Programme

Financial wellbeing support, including guidance and tools to manage your money confidently

Opportunities for career development, personal growth and progression within the business

Be part of a forward-thinking company where sustainability, innovation, and people matter
