Production Manager (m / w / d) - Chemical Industry (Top-Tier CoMAH Site)

Location : Sunderland

Contract Type : Full-time, Permanent

This role is designed with a clear development pathway toward senior site management responsibilities. It offers the opportunity to grow into a strategic leadership role and become part of the long-term succession plan for the site leadership team.

Your Role : Key Responsibilities

As Production Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our operations run safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulatory requirements. Your core responsibilities will include :

• Ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety Regulations , Quality Assurance , and Environmental Procedures
• Leading and coaching operational shift teams to ensure accurate reporting and handling of equipment defects and alarms
• Managing site production costs , including consumables, utility usage, reagents, and waste disposal
• Driving a continuous improvement culture using KPIs and lean initiatives
• Ensuring seamless execution and communication of production and logistics plans
• Acting as a role model and leader, motivating teams across all levels

Qualifications & Education

• Degree-level education or extensive relevant experience in chemical or process industries
• NEBOSH Process Safety Certificate or recognized Health & Safety qualification preferrred
