Job summary

KES Solutions UK in Stanley seeks an experienced Production Manager to oversee a large-scale fabrication operation, ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery. The candidate will manage multi-cell production, develop SOPs and drive efficiencies.

You will lead teams, control overtime, coordinate with planning and other departments, and foster strong relationships with customers and contractors while maintaining high standards of manufacturing excellence.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to form good working relationships with colleagues and customers.
• Continuous improvement background preferred; knowledge of CI methods is advantageous.
• A strong fabrication background with proven experience managing fabrication processes is essential.
• Excellent man management skills are required.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to present information clearly.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and contractors at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Manage health & safety to a high standard, investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Control product quality across all cells to maintain high standards.
• Develop standardized methods of operation within all cells for process control.
• Measure cell efficiency for daily reporting and drive continuous improvements.
• Control overtime to match build requirements and efficiency targets.
• Collaborate with production planner to manage WIP and parts flow.
• Manage staffing levels to meet production needs and maintain skills matrix.
• Ensure training is delivered to high standards at all levels.
• Coordinate with all departments to ensure smooth processes and strong customer communications.

Production Manager

Our client, based in Stanley, is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee a large-scale fabrication operation. A strong background in fabrication is essential, along with proven experience managing complex manufacturing and production processes.

Hours of work would be Monday to Friday 8.00am - 4.30pm (Friday finish 1.00pm).

Job Responsibilities

• Manage health & safety to a high standard to ensure all incidents & accidents are investigated and root cause analysis is carried out & implement countermeasures.
• Manage product quality through all cells to excellent standards.
• Develop standardised methods of operation within all cells to ensure process control.
• Measure efficiency levels per cell for reporting at the daily production meeting & develop continuous methods of improving efficiencies.
• Control overtime to required & agreed levels.
• Manage WIP with production planner for parts flow control.
• Control manning to agreed levels in line with build requirements.
• Ensure training is carried out to high standards at all levels.
• Control the hiring process to ensure we have the right staff for all roles & cover for all areas by managing & developing the skills matrix.
• Working closely with all departments to ensure a smooth process & excellent passage of information to maintain good customer relations.
