Job summary

Based in Banbury, Newly Weds Foods, partnered with Total Search Partners, seeks a Production Manager to lead shift teams and drive improvements on the plant floor. You will manage shift personnel, ensure health and safety standards, and maintain manufacturing records.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in a Production Manager role within food manufacturing, is an inspirational, hands-on leader, and capable of delivering rapid change through coaching and decisive action.

Qualifications

• 5+ years operating at a Production Manager level in a Food Manufacturing business.
• Inspirational leadership experience with examples.
• Hands-on role leading shift managers and coaching teams.
• Ability to deliver rapid change and translate theory into practice.

Responsibilities

• Manage all shift personnel and ensure adherence to health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Ensure staff are trained on plant, machinery, systems, procedures and safety practices with records kept.
• Resolve technical or quality issues promptly, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure manufacturing documentation is completed in an orderly, timely manner.
• Assume overall responsibility for the plant in the Plant Manager's absence.

Role: Production Manager

Location: Banbury

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 DOE.

Total Search Partners are exclusively partnered with Newly Weds Foods in Banbury to deliver them a Production Manager, following a recently updated role brief.

Located in Banbury, Newly Weds Foods are a profitable business that are constantly delivering quality food ingredients to their numerous customers. Like all good businesses, they're contiually developing themselves to provide best-in-class service, and this role will be at the forefront driving their production and people improvement agenda.

The person:

• Must have 5+ years operating at a Production Manager level, within a Food Manufacturing business - those without cannot be considered.
• Inspirational leadership experience (with examples!) - There is a good team that need to be lead from the front, and they will be instrumental in the success of this role.
• Shop-floor presence. This role is going to be hands-on, getting involved with the shift managers, coaching, developing, transforming.
• A “do-er”, someone who can deliver change quickly, and be decisive. Knowing the theory is only part of the challenge, the rest is making it work in practice!

The Role:

• Manage all shift personnel and ensure that they carry out their responsibilities in line with Newly Weds Foods health and safety and hygiene standards.
• Responsible for ensuring that all Blend Staff are adequately trained on plant, machinery, systems, procedures, personnel and health and safety practices ensuring records are maintained.
• Manage and resolve any technical or quality issues in a timely manner, working across departments to identify root cause and effective corrective actions.
• Ensure all manufacturing documentation is completed in an orderly, professional, timely manner.
• To assume overall responsibility for Plant in the absence of the Plant Manager.
