This role is based at our Colwick site in Nottingham and requires onsite presence five days per week.

This is a high-impact role requiring a visible, results-focused leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes full ownership of outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Optimise labour utilisation and manage departmental budgets to maximise efficiency and minimise waste
  • Drive Lean manufacturing principles including standard work, line balancing, waste elimination, and continuous improvement
  • Own and deliver continuous improvement and DREAM initiatives with clear KPI impact and sustainable outcomes
  • Identify constraints, resolve operational challenges, and continuously improve throughput and process flow
  • Lead, coach, and develop Section Leaders and teams to take ownership of KPIs and apply structured problem-solving techniques
  • Ensure high standards of product quality through robust quality control and ongoing improvement
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Planning, Procurement, Engineering, Quality, and other stakeholders
  • Ensure equipment availability through effective maintenance planning and escalation
  • Champion a strong Health & Safety culture and ensure compliance at all times
What We’re Looking For

  • Strong practical knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, including waste elimination and root cause problem solving
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering continuous improvement or transformation initiatives
  • Ability to translate high-level business targets into actionable shopfloor plans
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions quickly
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Confident leader who drives performance through clear expectations, accountability, and coaching
  • Resilient and decisive, with the ability to challenge the status quo and lead change effectively

  • Skilled in influencing and building relationships across all levels of the organisation
  • High potential individual with the ambition and capability to progress overtime
