Job Description
Joining IPS as a Production Manager, you will be responsible for managing the Co-pack Operation to meet planned volume and commercial targets in accordance with Quality and Safety standards. You will be a role model for best practice at all times, and through innovation, deliver cost savings and support to the site.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
Key Duties Of a Production Manager
- Primary point of contact with the Customer.
- Effectively maximise production efficiency to ensure plans are met on an hourly/daily basis.
- Motivate a team to meet production targets.
- Ensure the final product meets client specifications.
- Utilise onsite Warehouse Management systems.
- Adhere to and promote best practices in accordance with health, safety, and quality regulations.
- Ensure all paperwork and systems are completed accurately per company procedures.
- Maintain compliance with hygienic audits, both internal and external.
- Ensure GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and housekeeping are strictly followed.
- Assist in developing a skills matrix for all production workers.
- Attend Line Leader meetings and relevant training courses as required.
- Identify and develop Line Leaders for success planning.
- Train and develop new starters.
- Be a role model for best practices.
- Monitor, control, and minimise waste.
- Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a production/co-pack environment.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team.
- Clear and positive communication skills.
- Knowledge of procedures and compliance demonstration.
- Ability to plan, organise, and prioritise work to meet strict deadlines.
- Commitment to respond to changing customer needs.
- Ability to work towards targets/KPIs.
- Recognise and promote continuous improvement.
- Drive performance improvements to achieve service objectives.
