Job summary

Outpost VFX is seeking a skilled Production Scheduler to oversee overall show schedules, targets, and daily priorities for high-end episodic and film VFX work. You will coordinate with producers, clients, and the data IO team to ensure timely deliveries and accurate status updates across shows.

The role requires strong experience in VFX scheduling, knowledge of ShotGrid, and proficiency with MS Office. You’ll mentor junior production members and help promote best practices within the team.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a VFX environment.
  • Proficient with ShotGrid and MS Office (Word/Excel) on Mac/Windows.
  • Familiar with cineSync and data IO tools (Aspera/Mediashuttle/SohoNet).

Responsibilities

  • Lead schedule, targets and daily priorities for the team toward final delivery.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the VFX process for show and client commitments.
  • Liaise with clients and team; communicate clear delivery information.
  • Oversee client Sends; submission forms and data IO material preparation.
  • Mentor junior production members and promote positive practices.

Job Description

Working closely with the Producer, you will be responsible for the overall schedule, targets and daily priorities for the team, leading to final delivery. As your show progresses, your knowledge and understanding of the VFX process will be essential to maintain an up-to-date awareness of your show and client commitments. Liaising with clients and your team, communicating clear information regarding deliveries, oversight of client Sends; submission forms and collating material to be sent by our data IO team. As a leader for junior production members and being the first points of contact for the show crew, you’ll have the opportunity to promote positive practices within your team.

Key Skills
  • Proven experience in VFX scheduling and a high level of organisation/ maintenance of databases pertaining to shots or assets
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in a VFX environment
  • Proficient knowledge of ShotGrid, MS Office including Word and Excel, Mac/Windows
  • Literate using cineSync, data IO services such as Aspera/ Mediashuttle/ SohoNet etc.
