Job summary

Sky Sports is seeking a Head of Production to lead the production process for events and content, coordinating people, planning, facilities, suppliers and operational activity to ensure successful delivery.

You’ll produce and maintain production plans and reports for safe, efficient delivery and manage budgets to maximise value while maintaining standards. You’ll act as main contact for suppliers and internal teams, ensuring health and safety compliance and robust risk controls.

Qualifications

  • Strong outside broadcast production and venue management experience.
  • Excellent stakeholder management across internal teams, suppliers, venues and external partners.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple priorities in live production environments.
  • Good financial and commercial awareness including budget management and cost control.
  • Strong problem-solving to identify risks and implement practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication to share plans and updates with stakeholders.
  • Understanding of production health & safety requirements and risk assessments.

  • Understand and apply health and safety requirements, ensuring appropriate risk assessments, documentation and controls are in place.
  • Liaise with stadiums, venues and site owners to secure production requirements and support successful broadcast delivery.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with governing bodies, rights holders, clubs, venues and external partners.
  • Communicate project status, timelines and key updates clearly to internal and external stakeholders throughout the production lifecycle.

What You’ll Do

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across internal teams, suppliers, venues and external partners.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure and make sound decisions in a live production environment.
  • Good financial and commercial awareness, including budget management and cost control.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks, find practical solutions and respond effectively to operational challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate plans, updates and key information to a range of stakeholders.
  • Understanding of production health & safety requirements, including risk assessments and safe working practices within live broadcast environments.
