Hours: Mon – Thurs 8am till 17:15pm, Fri 8am till 12pm The Project Manageris responsible and accountable for planning, executing, and closing Projects.They define the project, build a comprehensive work plan, and then managing tothe budget. The core function will be to collaborate with other functionswithin the business to implement new projects that are alignedto the company’s growth expectations.Project managers can demonstrate that they embrace our company core values, have a can doattitude and are dedicated to the timely completion of their work. Project Managersundertake tasks, whilst ensuring that high standards of safety, quality andefficiency are consistently maintained. Project Managers are required to holdan in-depth understanding of our production processes and a willingness to getinvolved in SQCPD continuous improvement projects and processes, fostering aculture of excellence and accountability.

QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE:

Appropriateexperience in a high pressure, rapidly changing manufacturing environment isconsidered significantly more important than paper qualifications. Specificleadership and objective setting would, however, be considered an advantage

· Excellentcompetency levels in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.

· DemonstratableProject Management experience within a Mechanical and/or ElectricalManufacturing environment.

· Abilityto manage multiple projects, of varying complexity levels, and at variousmaturity stages.

· Productknowledge in Electrical Control Cabinets and/or Electro-mechanical assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:

Communication.

· Constructingand adhering to project plan.

· Goodunderstanding of a number of project management software tools.

· Theability to construct project plans with multiple variables.

· Beassertive with other functions whilst demonstrating a professional approach.

· Attend morning SQCDP meetings and further daily communicationmeetings as a member of the team to ensure their understanding of targets andobjectives.

· Build and maintain direct relationships with colleagues and customers,providing clear communication on all aspects of day-to-day operations. (WOWCUSTOMERS)

· Escalate relevant issues by promptly bringing them to theattention of the Engineering Manager.

Safety.

· Collaborate with the H&S officer and the leadership teamto reduce risks in the area by following risk assessments and work instructions.

· Ensuring they are working safely and maintaining a safeworking environment. (5’s & Risk Assessments)

· Comply with all safety controls (method statements) in thearea.

· Report accidents, near misses and safety concerns to a memberof the leadership team in a timely manner.

Quality.

· Ensure that projects adhere to customer expectations, provide clear accurate responses to CustomerConcerns in a professional and timely manner.

· Report any quality concerns to their line manager andactively seek to improve quality whilst carrying out their duties

· Comply with Company quality standards.

Cost.

· Ensure compliance with project key mile stones, targets andobjectives.

· Meet project deadlines in an efficient manner, 100% efficiencywith an improving trend.

· Constantly strive for productivity gains through VA activityand removal or 8 wastes

Delivery.

· Manageallocated budget to support the company’s objectives

· Workclosely with other support functions to deliver the companies objectives.

· Collaborateswith the NPI function to deliver exceptional internal customer service

· Accountablefor the project plan

· Providingaccurate project progress on a weekly basis

· Utilizingcapacity efficiently and effectively

· Monitorsand executes project plan

· Advocate for the customer and uphold the promised deliverydate.

· Keep customers and systems fully updated on any delays andexpected planned dates.

· Coordinate with leadership and other departments to addressexceptions.
