Job summary

Assan Panel UK Ltd is seeking a proactive Maintenance and Production Engineer to lead day-to-day management, optimization and continuous improvement of our production operations in the Ipswich-Stowmarket area.

You will work closely with UK Site Management, Production and Maintenance teams, coordinating with Group Engineering in Turkey, to monitor performance, analyze technical issues, and implement practical engineering solutions ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering disciplines (Mechatronics, Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical, Industrial).
Experience in maintenance and/or production in manufacturing environments.
Knowledge of SAP maintenance and production processes.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate maintenance and production teams for safe, efficient operations.
Monitor daily production, targets, capacity, OEE, downtime and losses.
Plan preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for machinery.
Coordinate teams to minimize downtime and maximize machine availability and efficiency.
Analyze root causes of machine breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
Identify bottlenecks and opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and capacity.
Manage maintenance and production records through SAP.
Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and promote a strong safety culture.
Lead TPM, automation, energy efficiency and cost-reduction initiatives.
Support new machinery and production line investments from specs to commissioning.
Coordinate with Quality, Supply Chain, suppliers, machine manufacturers and external service providers.
Monitor budgets and develop cost-effective maintenance solutions.
