Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Production Line Leader for a busy site near Bilsthorpe/Newark in Nottinghamshire. You will lead a production line, support Supervisors, ensure start-up checks are completed, and drive performance and quality on the factory floor.

The role is Monday to Friday days with a salary of £14.75 per hour, plus training & development, holiday, and progression opportunities as the company continues to grow.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role within a production environment as a Line Supervisor / Line Leader
• Good communication skills and the ability to problem-solve and lead the team
• Able to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines and maintain quality

Responsibilities

• Monitor line speed, progress and downtime to maintain production
• Work to the plan provided by Planning Manager to maximise performance

In this role you will lead a team and will support the Production Supervisors & Managers in the day to day running of a busy production lineto ensure smooth and efficient production on the factory floor.

The Role:

• Supervising a team on a busy production line
• Ensuring that daily start up checks are done, machines are set up and ready to start at the beginning of the shift and production is maintained during the shift by monitoring & reporting Line speed, progress & downtime
• Work towards the plan provided by Planning Manager, to ensure maximum performance and minimum downtime is maintained throughout the shift
• Monitoring line speed and KPIs, Quality checks, training of production operatives
• Ensuring all relevant company procedures are adhered to & all relevant paperwork is kept up to date, recording results, supporting continuous improvement

The Person:

• Previous experience in a similar role within a production environment as a Line Supervisor / Line Leader
• Good communication skills & the ability to problem-solve and lead the team
• Able to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines & excellent attention to detail
