Our manufacturing client is seeking an experienced Production Inspector (electronics). The role is offered as a permanent, full-time position reporting to the Quality Manager.

Salary: £25,000 to £27,000 pa + OT when required – weekly pay

Location: near Dartford

Hours: 39 pw

Schedule: 9am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday; 9am to 1pm Friday

Benefits: 25 days leave + BH, uniform, pension, etc.

The Production Inspector will be responsible for inspecting key component groups before product release from the production area, ensuring feedback for all non-conforming products is passed to the Production Supervisor and Operators.

Skills/Experience Required:

• Experience within an electronic manufacturing environment preferred – PCBs
• Understanding of IPC-A-610 or relevant qualification preferred
• Ability to identify components, including resistor colour codes
• General standard of education required

Main Responsibilities:

• Perform full visual inspection of key areas in conventional build before release
• Adhere to company health and safety requirements
• Implement necessary anti-static precautions
• Use inspection tools (magnifiers, etc.) for PCB manufacturing
• Follow manufacturing documents and specific instructions
• Understand and apply IPC 610 standards related to conventional assembly
• Report build discrepancies to the Quality Department and Production Supervision
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe work area
• Carry out First Off inspections against Product Bill of Materials and customer specifications
