Babcock International is seeking a Production Hub Lead at the Devonport facility in Plymouth to lead a large team of technicians and coordinate resources across submarine maintenance programmes.

You will drive workforce planning, improve productivity and quality, and work with project teams to deliver engineering tasks across decommissioned and current submarine classes while developing your own leadership capability.

Qualifications

• HNC qualification or equivalent technical qualification.
• ISOH Managing Safely.
• Experience leading or managing teams with varying levels of technical experience.
• Experience within a mechanical or electrical engineering, manufacturing, production or maintenance environment, preferably Defence or Commercial Marine.
• Proven ability to coordinate resources and prioritise work to meet operational objectives.
• Experience operating in a highly regulated environment.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders across a complex organisation.
• Demonstrable success in driving performance improvement and developing people.

Responsabilités

• Lead daily operation of the production hub to deploy skilled resources for programme delivery.
• Chair planning and look-ahead meetings with stakeholders to establish priorities and maintain delivery schedules.
• Collaborate with production and capability teams to develop workforce competence, skills and succession planning.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, productivity, efficiency and cost performance.
• Build strong relationships with project teams and production managers, providing regular updates and managing resource priorities.
