Babcock International is seeking a Production Hub Lead at the Devonport facility in Plymouth to lead a large team of technicians and coordinate resources across submarine maintenance programmes.

You will drive workforce planning, improve productivity and quality, and work with project teams to deliver engineering tasks across decommissioned and current submarine classes while developing your own leadership capability.

Competenze

• HNC qualification or equivalent technical qualification.
• ISOH Managing Safely.
• Experience leading or managing teams with varying levels of technical experience.
• Experience within a mechanical or electrical engineering, manufacturing, production or maintenance environment, preferably Defence or Commercial Marine.
• Proven ability to coordinate resources and prioritise work to meet operational objectives.
• Experience operating in a highly regulated environment.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders across a complex organisation.
• Demonstrable success in driving performance improvement and developing people.

As a Production Hub Lead, you'll can play your part in leading a large team of specialist technician's at Babcock's Devonport facility, in Plymouth, Devon. Drawing on your leadership and engineering expertise, you will help shape the future of the UK's submarine programme while developing a new capability that will have a lasting impact on operational performance and efficiency. Day-to-day, you'll play a key role in supporting submarine deep maintenance by bringing pipe and reactor technician resources together into a central production hub delivering engineering tasks across the decommissioned, current and future Submarine classes. This is an exciting opportunity to establish and develop your own team, drive innovation, improve productivity, and influence how critical engineering work is delivered across the business. Your leadership will directly contribute to national defence capabilities while creating opportunities for your own professional growth and development.

Responsibilities

• Additional leadership, management or engineering qualifications.
• Nuclear Plant Foundation Course Module 1.
