Overview:
BDUK is a subsidiary of the Boeing Company and currently employs over 2,000 people in the UK. BDUK is responsible for delivering several exciting contracts to our UK Defense customers including E-7 AEW&C, P-8A Maritime Patrol Aircraft, Through Life Support for the Chinook & Apache Fleets, Logistic Information Services and Training Services.
The Role:
This post is for a Production Engineering Manager reporting to the BDUK Design, Maintenance, Modifications and Manufacturing Engineering Manager. The role will be the First Line Leader providing day to day direction for a team of Engineers supporting multiple programmes.
This position will have day to day direction over the Material Review Board (MRB), Manufacturing Planning (MP), Manufacturing Engineering (ME) and Product Support Engineering team members across the Chinook, Apache and future program teams at Middle Wallop. They will directly interface with the on-site leadership to ensure the team is operating efficiently and providing the required support to the programs.
Responsibilities:
In addition to being the first line leader, the role will provide direct input to the team in order to deliver the Engineering work scope to the programmes and business development opportunities across the company. Examples of key tasks included:
