Job summary

Crown Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Production Engineer for Metal Finishing – LSM and Dryers in the Central Production Engineering Department.

The role can be based in Wantage (UK) or at one of our European plants, supporting 12 locations in Europe and 5 in the Middle East and North Africa. You will drive improvements in Lacquer Spray Machines, Rim Coaters, Overvarnish units, and ovens, with focus on quality, cost and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Sound engineering background to HND or Degree level in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• Highly experienced in process engineering and safety-minded approaches.
• Knowledge of metal finishing processes including Lacquer Spray Machines (LSMs), Rim Coaters (BRCs & MRCs), Overvarnish units, and associated ovens.
• Ability to communicate clearly at all levels and to lead improvements.

Responsibilities

• Support 12 manufacturing locations in Europe and 5 in the Middle East and North Africa with process improvements and best practices.
• Develop SOPs, standardised specifications and cost-reduction programmes for ongoing operations and changeovers.
• Deliver classroom and hands-on training on Metal Finishing equipment and processes.
• Lead lean manufacturing and sustainability initiatives within the metal finishing domain.
