Zusammenfassung

Swegon UK&I is seeking a proactive Production Engineer in Snodland, Kent to improve manufacturing operations through continuous improvement, process optimisation, SOPs, and data-driven problem solving.

You will work with Production, Engineering, Quality and Maintenance to enhance safety, quality and efficiency, support NPI, and develop standard processes while delivering day-to-day engineering support on the shop floor.

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience in Production/Manufacturing Engineering.
• Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement and waste reduction experience.
• Root Cause Analysis and corrective action methodologies.
• Experience supporting fast-paced production operations.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and CAD models.
• Experience creating SOPs and manufacturing documentation.

Aufgaben

• Evaluate manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
• Analyse production data to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase throughput.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and manufacturing documentation.
• Conduct process reviews, time studies, and workflow analysis.
• Investigate production and quality issues using Root Cause Analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Provide day-to-day engineering support to production and maintenance teams.
• Support reduction of machine downtime and improve equipment performance.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) alongside Engineering and Production teams.
• Assist with design for manufacture and process development activities.
• Support cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements and company procedures.
• Identify and report unsafe practices or conditions.
• Develop and implement manufacturing best practices.
• Assist with layout improvements, tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing methods.
• Support production trials, sample builds, and process validation activities.
• Produce and maintain manufacturing records, reports, and engineering documentation.
• Collaborate with internal departments to support business objectives.
• Read, interpret, and create engineering drawings and CAD models.
• Support manufacturing process improvements through CAD and engineering software systems.
