Job summary

Butler Rose Ltd on behalf of an established manufacturer invites applications for a Production Engineer position based in Honiton, Devon. This site-based, permanent role offers a salary up to £50,000 DOE and a Monday-to-Friday schedule, with real scope to influence maintenance, process improvement and equipment reliability across the site.

You will combine hands-on maintenance with project work, driving CI initiatives, supporting introductions of new equipment, and ensuring health and safety

Qualifications

• Experience in a Production/Manufacturing engineering role.
• Hands-on, practical problem-solving approach.
• Ability to manage projects and prioritise workloads.
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve machine-related issues.
• Support production teams to maximise equipment performance, workflow, and operational efficiency.
• Lead engineering improvement projects and support the introduction of new products and processes.
• Ensure equipment and manufacturing processes meet technical and quality standards.
• Create and maintain manufacturing instructions, procedures, and documentation.
• Manage critical spare parts and equipment inventories.
• Develop and coordinate preventative and predictive maintenance programmes.
• Support machinery installation, commissioning, FAT, and equipment upgrades.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production operations.
