Job summary

Teledyne Reynolds, based in Newbury, Berkshire, is seeking a Production Engineer to own end-to-end manufacturing processes for high-reliability interconnect products. You will support tooling, test equipment, and capital equipment while liaising with Engineering for NPI and legacy ranges.

The role emphasizes proactive problem solving, execution of changes, and on-floor training. You will help improve OTD metrics and integrate with QA to sustain high yields in a demanding, high-accuracy

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of production processes, tooling and test equipment in a cable harness manufacturing environment.
• HNC/HND in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering is desirable.
• Must be proactive and resourceful while dealing with multiple tasks.
• Good working knowledge of Excel, Access, MRP systems and CAD-based drawing package.
• Able to analyse and document issues with attention to detail and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end manufacture of high reliability interconnect products; document processes in specs and procedures.
• Ensure tooling, build aids and test equipment are designed and available for backlog orders.
• Maintain production capital equipment and align with industry standards.
• Raise and implement change notes to keep product records up to date.
• Drive continuous improvement and collaborate with staff to achieve gains.
• Respond promptly to manufacturing floor issues and prevent recurrence.
• Provide training on new processes and products to Operations team.
• Assist Sales, Engineering and Purchasing with technical build information and lead times.
• Troubleshoot build and test issues with operators and test technicians.
• Support TPM schedules site-wide and integrate with QA for high yield.
