SubSea Craft is a UK-based maritime technology company hiring for a production-focused role in Portsmouth. The candidate will participate in design-for-manufacture reviews, support prototype assembly, and help source equipment while driving continuous improvement in a high-value, low-volume production environment.

• Experience of productionising new technologies and new products.
• Production experience with composite structures or electro-mechanical assembly.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design reviews to provide design-for-manufacture input
• Assist with prototype and pre-production assembly work
• Specify and source production equipment, tooling, jigs and fixtures Lead and support continuous improvement activities in production
• Create and manage production layout plans to support efficient manufacturing
• Develop and support quality and business processes related to manufacturing
• Ensure full adherence to internationally recognised quality standards for manufacturing
• Support production with day-to-day query resolution
• Provide input for engineering change management (ECO) process
• Create and champion standard operating procedures and work instructions for all aspects of marine manufacturing

Qualifications and Experience

Required

• Experience of working within a high value, low volume production environment Desirable: Experience with MRP/ERP systems Use of agile toolsets
• Recognised Project Management experience or qualification
• Degree qualified within engineering discipline or equivalent experience
• Experience of productionising new technologies and new products
• Production experience with composite structures or electro-mechanical assembly

Note: Due to the nature of work undertaken at SubSea Craft, the selected candidate must be capable of meeting the security requirements of the position, which would include as a minimum existing right to live and work in the UK, Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), with UK National security clearance required for certain roles.*
