The Company and Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and highly skilled Production Design Engineer to join their production team. They are a well-established electronics manufacturer based in the High Wycombe area.

Key Responsibilities

This is a diverse role that encompasses all tasks required to enable and facilitate efficient and successful production. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Developing work procedures and issuing detailed work instructions.
2. Reviewing printed circuit board (PCB) designs.
3. Programming SMT pick and place machines.
4. Designing and assembling test jigs for production.
5. Building wiring harnesses for programming devices.
6. Troubleshooting production issues and identifying solutions.
7. Liaising with product designers as required.
8. Monitoring equipment functionality and resolving or escalating any performance issues.
9. Diagnosing and fault-finding failed devices.

The Candidate

Experience working in electronic production.

A strong understanding of electronic circuits.

Knowledge and experience in PCB design/layout.

Previous experience with SMT/pick-and-place machinery.

The ability to fault-find down to component level.

Ideally, an engineering qualification.

The Package

A salary of £35,000 - £50,000 is offered, depending on skills and experience.
