About this opportunity

Your work environment : CarnaudMetalbox Engineering are recruiting for a Production Engineer to join our highly skilled production engineering team based at Shipley, West Yorkshire.

Your mission in Crown

Your main areas of responsibilities area range of activities with the purpose of interpreting 3D models through the CAM system, creating CNC part programs to manufacture parts on various CNC machine tools and using post processor and simulation tools to prove code before release to production.

You will have the ability to demonstrate machine safety standards and be proficient in offline and online programming, manufacturing methods, processes, tooling and set up sheets . A solid understanding and knowledge of (3D) CAD and CAM software and prove out software such as vericut, veriprog and mazak smooth is essential. You will ideallybe proficient with Siemens NX or similar.

About you

You must have a formal technical qualification in a Mechanical engineering discipline from level 3 or equivalent. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills to communicate technical information with various stakeholders both internal and external to the business; together with strong verbal and written skills, problem solving skills, the ability to work effectively within, and across, project teams and be highly organised. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a high quality of work, adaptability, make sound judgements and take initiative.
