Job Summary

Join us in making a difference in the future of aviation! You will help us deliver operational excellence across our Civil, Defence, and Engines business lines at our East Cowes manufacturing plants. Established in 1901, our site employs around 800 people and designs, manufactures, tests, and repairs high-performance structures and systems for the aerospace market. Our customers include Airbus, Boeing, Rolls Royce, and others.

Due to growth, we are seeking experienced Tooling Engineers to join our team on the Isle of Wight. This role is based at East Cowes and involves limited travel within the UK and internationally. We offer relocation support within the UK to successful applicants.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop tooling solutions (mould tools, fixtures, jigs, shop aids) from concept to production.
• Design tooling for process capability using Catia V5 and GKN standards.
• Manage tooling quotes, configuration changes, and cost estimations.
• Ensure safety compliance and promote a safety-first mindset.
• Apply root cause analysis and implement continuous improvements with Lean initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills

• HNC or equivalent in Engineering or related field.
• Experience in Tool Design, especially for composite moulds and jigs, with DFM knowledge.
• Proficiency in CAD software, preferably Catia V5.
• Knowledge of quality systems like ISO9000, AS9100.
• Experience in Aerospace industry and familiarity with APQP and ERP systems.
• Ability to interpret aged drawings.

This role requires UK National Security Vetting (UKNSV) Security clearance, which involves residency requirements.
