Your work environment: CarnaudMetalbox Engineering is recruiting a Production Engineer to join our highly skilled production engineering team based in Shipley, West Yorkshire.
Your mission at Crown: Your responsibilities include interpreting 3D models via CAM systems, creating CNC programs for manufacturing parts on various CNC machines, and using post processors and simulation tools to verify code before production. You should demonstrate machine safety standards, be proficient in offline and online programming, manufacturing methods, tooling, and setup sheets. A solid understanding of (3D) CAD and CAM software, including verification tools like Vericut, Veriprog, and Mazak Smooth, is essential. Proficiency with Siemens NX or similar software is preferred.
About you: You should have a formal technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering (Level 3 or equivalent). Excellent communication skills for technical discussions with stakeholders, strong problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, and the capacity to work effectively within teams are required. The ideal candidate demonstrates high-quality work, adaptability, sound judgment, and initiative.
