Job summary

DFS is seeking a Woodmill Planner & Administrator to join our Alfreton site. You will act as the operational link between the site office and the woodmill floor, raising and coordinating precise works orders to ensure production timelines are met.

You will maintain audit-ready records, report delays promptly to stakeholders, and manage stock control for both office and mill floor. The role emphasizes strong organisation, communication, and Excel proficiency.

About the role

The Woodmill Planner & Administrator serves as the vital operational link between the site office and the woodmill floor, ensuring the smooth, accurate, and timely flow of timber preparation and component manufacturing. This role is responsible for raising, coordinating, and issuing precise works orders and technical work tickets to ensure the production floor hits its timelines. Acting as a proactive communicator, you will identify and report manufacturing or timber-supply delays to key stakeholders immediately. Additionally, you will champion site compliance through meticulous audit-ready record keeping and manage the inventory and stock control of all essential consumables for both the office and the mill floor.

What you'll be doing
