Job summary

DS Smith in Ely is seeking a Production Controller to oversee orders from brief to delivery, coordinating with Sales, Design, Artwork, Planning, Manufacturing and Logistics to ensure timely, accurate production. The role emphasises multi-project handling, strong organisation and problem-solving within a dynamic marketing/retail setting.

You will be the liaison between internal teams and customers, driving efficient production briefs and continuous improvement while delivering high-quality retail

Qualifications

• Experience in production, planning, customer service or project coordination.
• Knowledge of 3D and large format print.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proficient IT skills with various systems and software.

Responsibilities

• Act as central point between internal teams and customers.
• Process orders and translate requirements into production briefs.
• Coordinate with Sales, Structural Design, Artwork, Planning, Manufacturing and Logistics.
• Monitor projects through production stages and deadlines.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Manage multiple jobs in a fast-paced environment.
• Identify and resolve issues quickly.
• Build relationships with stakeholders internal and external.
• Support continuous improvement to reduce costs and improve customer experience.
