Job summary

BOC Limited, a Linde company, is recruiting in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, for a hands-on gas production and calibration role. You will work to ISO 6142 and ISO 17034 standards, preparing gravimetrically calibrated reference materials and oxygen-containing mixtures, ensuring cylinders are ready for filling.

You will liaise with the Production Manager on stock control, maintain records, and support workflow management while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills for regular one-to-one interactions with team and stakeholders.
• Sound organisational ability to work independently or in a team.
• IT literacy and adaptability to use bespoke software, MS Word, Excel and databases.

Responsibilities

• Produce gravimetrically prepared calibration gases/reference materials per ISO 6142 and ISO 17034 accredited processes.
• Manufacture mixtures containing oxygen and flammable components per SOPs.
• Prepare cylinders for filling including painting, valve insertion, cylinder treatment and evacuation.
• Liaise with Production Manager on ordering and stock control of gas cylinders and feedstocks.
• Maintain and update records/databases to support workflow management.

• Manufacture of mixtures containing oxygen and flammables according to standard operating procedures
• Preparation of cylinders ready for filling including painting, valve insertion, cylinder treatment and evacuation
• Liaising with the Production Manager in the ordering and stock control of gas cylinders and pure source gases in addition to general support gases
• Maintain and update relevant records and databases to support workflow management
