Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers PLC is offering a full-time apprenticeship for a Production Chef Level 2, over 15 months, designed to train you in core kitchen skills while you work. You will be supported by experienced chefs and gain a nationally recognised qualification.

You’ll learn through a mix of on-the-job training and structured coaching, with ongoing assessments and opportunities to progress within the company as you gain experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• No previous kitchen experience required; training will be provided.
• Passion for cooking and readiness to learn in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Able to commit to a 15-month Production Chef Level 2 Apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Communicate openly with the team to deliver outstanding food and service.
• Participate in team meetings and share insights.
• Prepare, cook and present food quickly, safely and to brand standards.
• Handle guest queries and complaints professionally.
• Keep kitchen and back of house areas clean and organized.
• Set up and close down the department including stock rotation and prep.
• Stay updated with promotions and new products.
• Complete training modules and adhere to brand policies.
• Support running of the kitchen and help ensure quality for guests.
