Job summary

Samworth Brothers is seeking a Production Chef at Saladworks, located in Leicester Forest East. You will prepare meals to a high standard on a busy site, follow recipes, and ensure traceability of ingredients and products. You’ll operate production machinery and use site systems daily, maintaining quality and safety in all tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience as a chef or in a food production role.
• Good knowledge of food preparation and cooking.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and food safety.
• Able to follow recipes, processes, and standard operating procedures.
• Comfortable using production machinery and computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food to set recipes and standards.
• Collect ingredients from Chill, Ambient, and Freezer storage areas.
• Book all transformed ingredients on the site system.
• Use production machinery safely as part of your daily work.
• Follow system processes and standard operating procedures.
• Label ingredients and products correctly.
• Make sure all ingredients and batches can be fully traced.
• Make sure all paperwork and records are clear, accurate, and easy to read.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and health and safety rules.
