Job summary

The Berry Recruitment Group is seeking a reliable Production Assistant to support processing of customer parts, including unpacking, inspection, and packing for dispatch. This 6-month temporary role offers a salary raised after 13 weeks with a 7% shift allowance, increasing hourly pay from £12.77 to £13.66.

Shifts are rotating: Week 1 6:00am–2:00pm, Week 2 1:00pm–9:00pm. You will book orders into SAP, inspect parts, check quantities, and prepare shipments, with a focus on accuracy and safety in

• Experience in production, manufacturing, or handling small components.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Able to follow processes and work independently.
• Basic computer skills.
• Good communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Booking customer orders into SAP accurately.
• Unpacking incoming orders and inspecting parts for damage.
• Checking quantities and reporting any discrepancies.
• Inspecting components using microscopes or visual equipment.
• Packing completed orders safely and accurately for dispatch.
• Using courier systems to process shipments.
• Maintaining a clean and organised workspace.
• Reporting quality issues and supporting corrective actions.

Job description

We're looking for a reliable and detail‑focused Production Assistant to support the processing of customer parts, including unpacking, inspection, and packing for dispatch. This is a 6‑month temporary role with the potential to become permanent. A salary increase will come into effect after completing 13 weeks, this is a 7% shift allowance will increase the hourly pay rate from £12.77 to £13.66.

Please note if you do not live within walking distance to this area - and due to the location you will require your own transport as no public transport will be operating directly in the area based on the below shifts.

Shifts (rotating weekly):

• Week 1: 6:00am - 2:00pm
• Week 2: 1:00pm - 9:00pm
