Job summary

Chesterfield Poultry at Coulman Road, Thorne, Doncaster, South Yorkshire is seeking a Production Administrator to support the production team with administrative and operational tasks in a cold food production environment.

You will manage production records, raise work orders, monitor schedules, and coordinate with planning, warehouse, quality and dispatch, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an administrative role in production/manufacturing desirable
• GCSEs in English and Maths (essential)
• ERP or production systems experience desirable
• Knowledge of manufacturing or factory operations advantageous

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day admin support to the production department
• Maintain production records, reports, and databases
• Raise and process work orders, schedules, dispatch notes, etc.
• Monitor production schedules and flag delays or issues to supervisors
• Coordinate with planning, warehouse, quality and dispatch teams
• Input data into production systems and spreadsheets accurately and on time
• Support stock control activities, including raw materials and finished goods records
• Assist with compliance documentation (audits, health & safety, quality standards)
• Handle general office duties such as filing, scanning, and email correspondence
• Support continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives
• Conduct cyclical stock counts, ensuring data accuracy
