Job summary

Biscuit International UK Limited is seeking a Nightshift Product Team Lead in Gateshead to supervise mixing, baking and processing operations and deliver safe, high-quality products. You will drive efficiency, lead teams, conduct GMP audits and ensure allergen control and traceability.

Reporting to the Shift Manager, you will train staff, manage batch records and push improvements to achieve production KPIs while maintaining health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience working in food manufacturing.
• Proven experience leading teams in a production environment.
• Strong understanding of mixing, baking and processing equipment.
• Excellent numeracy, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to plan, prioritise and deliver against production targets.
• Level 2 Food Safety essential (provided by the business)
• Level 2 Health & Safety and Manual Handling desirable

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise production teams across mixing, baking and processing
• Ensure products are delivered right-first-time to customer specification
• Set up, adjust and operate moulding lines and processing equipment
• Provide cover for Pack Team Lead and Shift Manager when required
• Plan and deliver training and competency verification with support from Training
• Conduct GMP audits and risk assessments in own area
• Ensure strict compliance with allergen control, traceability and stock rotation
• Maintain accurate batch control and ingredient usage records
• Deliver full compliance against production KPIs
• Ensure all process control documentation is completed accurately and on time
• Drive continuous improvement, efficiency and waste reduction
• Uphold the highest standards of health, safety and hygiene
