Job description

As a Product Support Engineer - Rail, you will conduct routine maintenance and repairs on mtu rail products to the standard specified in the approved manuals, in accordance with the contract requirements and embrace digitalisation.

What you will be doing:

1. Perform preventative, scheduled, and corrective maintenance activities according to the maintenance schedule, manuals, and contract.
2. Participate in continuous improvement activities for maintenance and procedures, suggesting improvements where applicable.
3. Conduct planned maintenance tasks following operating instructions.
4. Attend customer meetings to obtain sign-off for work completed on customer equipment.
5. Undertake fault finding and repairs using technical information such as drawings and guides.
6. Complete documentation for all work to ensure accurate records for the company and customer.
7. Engage proactively in HSQE management processes.
8. Maintain cleanliness of onsite facilities.
9. Attend local and factory training courses to keep skills current.
10. Participate in 24/7 shift work, including callouts when required.
11. Work as a mobile engineer if needed; a van will be provided.
12. Cover work in other depots as required.
13. Report parts used during service accurately to control stock.
14. Utilize IT systems such as Go!Care, C4S, eWeb, Go!Manage, Go, Diasys, Outlook efficiently.
