Job summary

Straight Forward Recruitment are seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Product Specification Technician to join our client's Product Development team in Brandon.

You will create, maintain and manage accurate product specifications and technical documentation across the full product development lifecycle, ensuring information is complete, up to date, controlled and compliant with customer and internal requirements.

Qualifications

• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Methodical, accurate and committed to high standards of quality.
• Confident with technical information and product data.
• Able to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines.
• Proactive, reliable and able to work independently.
• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain and update product specifications, technical documents and product data.
• Ensure specifications reflect approved formulations, components, packaging and manufacturing requirements.
• Manage specification changes throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Ensure all technical information is accurate, complete and approved before products move into production.
• Work closely with NPD and Product Development teams to support new product launches.
• Liaise with suppliers to obtain, review and verify technical information, specifications and supporting documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of packaging components and finished products.
• Review artwork and product information to ensure they align with approved specifications.
• Maintain product documentation, ensuring information is controlled, traceable and kept up to date.
• Support the effective management of product data and technical records.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of specification processes, systems and documentation.
• Support multiple product development projects while managing priorities and deadlines effectively.
