Job summary

MBDA in Bristol is seeking a Product Security Engineer to join the Security Engineering Department. You will be a skilled Systems Engineer focusing on security design, with opportunities to work across hardware, firmware and software, ensuring robust protection and through-life security for the missile/weapon system.

The role involves managing security case development, liaising with the UK Customer and technical advisors, and delivering a coherent, secure design.

Qualifications

• Experience in Systems Engineering is essential.
• Electronics design and/or embedded software/firmware experience desirable.
• Knowledge of Product or Systems Security is desirable.
• DV cleared or willing and eligible to go through DV clearance.

Responsibilities

• Task package management of activities spanning across the Engineering Directorate to design and deliver a comprehensive technical security solution within the budget and timescale.
• Managing the trade-space to maximise the effectiveness of through life protective measures without compromising product safety or Customer winning capability.
• Preparing and maintaining a robust security case and working directly with the UK Customer and its technical advisors to agree sufficiency of solutions.
• Undertaking a wide range of systems design and technical leadership tasks, ensuring a coherent design across hardware, firmware and software.
• Liaising with manufacturing and support teams to ensure confidentiality and integrity of the missile/weapon system.
• Ensuring the Need to Know principal is adhered to and controls are in place for release of information.
