Job summary

Michael Kors is seeking a Product Planner to join the London office and own financial and inventory planning across EMEA. You will build seasonal and monthly plans, manage OTB, and work with Buying, Allocation, Retail, and Digital to optimize product deployment and performance.

The role requires 5+ years in retail planning, advanced Excel, and strong analytical skills. A Bachelor's degree is required, with an entrepreneurial mindset and fashion experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • 5+ yrs. experience in Retail Planning, Store Planning and/or allocation.
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree
  • Computer Literate - Advanced Excel Skills

Responsibilities

  • Own the financial and inventory plans for assigned product categories across the EMEA Omni-Channel business, driving sales, margin and inventory productivity.
  • Develop and manage annual, seasonal and monthly sales, receipts, inventory and markdown plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer demand.
  • Manage category Open-to-Buy (OTB), identifying risks and opportunities and presenting clear recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Lead weekly, monthly and seasonal trade reviews, analysing sales, inventory, sell-through, margin and customer trends to inform commercial decision making.
  • Partner closely with Buying to build customer-focused assortments, influencing category strategies, buy quantities and investment decisions through detailed performance analysis.
  • Collaborate with Allocation teams to develop effective initial launch and inventory deployment strategies, ensuring product is placed in the right locations based on demand forecasts, store profiles and regional opportunities.
  • Drive replenishment strategies across core and key seasonal programs, balancing product availability, inventory productivity and customer experience across channels.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of allocation and replenishment decisions, leveraging hindsight analysis to continuously improve future inventory investments and deployment strategies.
  • Partner with Branch, Retail and Digital teams to understand customer demand, local opportunities and emerging market trends, incorporating these insights into planning decisions.
  • Lead inventory management strategies, identifying opportunities to optimise stock flow, reduce aged inventory and maximise full-price sell-through.
  • Develop and execute promotional, markdown and exit strategies to support sales, margin and inventory objectives.
  • Work cross-functionally with Buying, Allocation, Retail, Digital, Finance and Supply Chain teams to deliver aligned category and business goals.
  • Coach and develop Assistant Planners, fostering a high-performing, collaborative and commercially focused team environment.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Planner in our London office:

What You'll Do

You’ll Need to Have
  • Must have 5+ yrs. experience in Retail Planning, Store Planning and/or allocation
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree

  • Ability to thrive in entrepreneurial environment
  • Handbag/Accessories or Ready-to-wear background preferred
