Job summary

Hiscox UK is seeking a Product Owner to join the Retail Change team, with options in Colchester or York. You will translate strategic objectives into actionable product initiatives, aligning roadmaps with business needs and managing a value-driven backlog.

You’ll collaborate with business, technology and customer experience teams, prioritise work, measure outcomes and ensure delivery of customer value. Strong stakeholder management and agile practices are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of value streams and how to apply them in business contexts.
• Expertise in agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and familiarity with scaled agile frameworks (SAFe).
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on delivering customer and business value.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a clear product vision aligned with value-stream goals.
• Translate customer and stakeholder needs into a measurable product roadmap.
• Engage with business, customers, and technical teams to clarify requirements and priorities.
• Create, refine and prioritise the product backlog with actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Monitor product performance and make data-driven decisions to optimise value.
