Oak Furnitureland is seeking a talented Product Owner to lead the vision, roadmap, and delivery of our products. You’ll be the voice of the customer and a key link between stakeholders, business teams, and delivery squads, ensuring value aligned with business goals.

We offer hybrid working with 2 days in the Swindon office (Tuesdays and Thursdays) and 3 at home. You’ll translate business objectives into backlogs, manage priorities, and guide teams to ship high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role.
• Strong stakeholder management with concise communication.
• Able to translate business needs into actionable requirements.
• Familiarity with agile principles (Scrum, Kanban, or similar).
• Analytical mindset using data to inform decisions.
• Strategic thinker with problem-solving skills.
• Collaborative and able to influence at all levels.
• Comfortable balancing ambiguity and priorities.
• Experience in a product environment (tech, services, or goods).

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate the product vision, objectives, and success measures.
• Ensure alignment of product goals with wider business strategy.
• Refine the product roadmap based on feedback and market trends.
• Act as the liaison between stakeholders, customers, and delivery teams.
• Gather, prioritise, and validate requirements for clear needs.
• Own and maintain a prioritised backlog with story-pointed items.
• Translate objectives into user stories, features, and acceptance criteria.
• Manage backlog priorities and collaborate with backend teams.
• Work with IT leadership to plan sprint capacity and adjust plans.
• Balance short-term wins with long-term objectives for value.
