Job summary

Digital Waffle is seeking a Product Owner in Nottingham (hybrid) to bridge business strategy with an in-house engineering team. You’ll own the product plan, shape the roadmap, and act as the decision-maker on technology priorities to deliver customer-focused software.

You’ll collaborate with senior leaders, gather requirements, write user stories, and lead the team through Scrum ceremonies while driving tangible delivery outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven Product Owner experience in an agile software environment.
• Experience with decision-engine products.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Knowledge of APIs and middleware.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with analytics and user-behaviour tools is a plus.
• Understanding of good UX/UI from the start.
• Track record of delivering software projects successfully.
• Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior leadership to translate business strategy into a clear product plan.
• Shape and communicate the product vision and roadmap for a modern platform.
• Act as the decision-maker on technology changes and backlog priorities.
• Gather and refine requirements with stakeholders and write well-defined user stories.
• Collaborate with engineers on test planning and delivery.
• Strengthen day-to-day collaboration between business and technical teams.
• Lead and develop the product team with a culture of experimentation and learning.
• Shift the focus from discussion to action and delivery across the business.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies where needed.
