Job summary

Vivo Talent is partnering with an AI start-up to lead hands-on Product Owner work, translating roadmaps into usable software. Reporting to the CPO, you’ll own the backlog, shape new features and ensure clear requirements and priorities across engineering and design.

This is a role with genuine autonomy over scope, sequencing and trade-offs, enabling you to influence how a developing product works and delivers real value to customers.

Qualifications

• Experience as Product Owner or in a similar hands-on software delivery role.
• Experience delivering B2B software in complex operational environments.
• Strong grasp of agile, backlog management and user story creation.
• Ability to prioritise, make scope trade-offs and manage competing demands.
• Experience working closely with engineers, designers and QA.

Responsibilities

• Own and prioritise the product backlog, balancing customer value, delivery commitments and engineering capacity.
• Turn product ideas into clear requirements, user journeys and well-written user stories.
• Define MVP scope and make practical trade-offs.
• Work with engineering and design to shape functionality and usability, and maintain functional prototypes.
• Refine stories with engineers, resolving questions and surfacing dependencies and edge cases.
• Own product acceptance, confirming features deliver their intended functionality and value.
