Overview

Our client, a global leader in financial services technology, is seeking a Product Owner to help shape and deliver the vision for their platforms. Working closely with Product Managers, Agile teams, and stakeholders, you'll ensure the team backlog reflects customer needs and that product strategy translates into tangible business value.

The Role

As Product Owner, you will be accountable for maximising value delivered by feature teams, driving customer-centric solutions, and supporting the end-to-end product lifecycle. You'll act as the link between business, technology, and delivery, balancing stakeholder demands with the realities of agile delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Define, prioritise, and manage the team backlog, ensuring business alignment and customer value
• Translate product vision and strategy into user stories, MVPs, and backlog items
• Partner with Product Managers to inform roadmap, feasibility, and desirability of solutions
• Support Agile teams with clear requirements, scope, and prioritisation guidance
• Gather and apply feedback to continuously improve solutions and delivery outcomes
• Act as a bridge between business units, technology, and support teams to ensure clarity and alignment

Essential Experience

• 5+ years as Product Owner, Product Manager, or Technical Business Analyst
• Proven experience delivering complex products in fast-paced environments
• Strong knowledge of Agile delivery frameworks and product lifecycle management
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience translating strategy into actionable backlog and release plans

Desirable

• Financial services experience
• Exposure to Jira, Confluence, or similar tools
• Understanding of financial market protocols
• Experience setting outcome-focused goals using OKRs
