Role Purpose

As a key member of the Product team, you will contribute to the design and delivery of both new and existing products in the Mutual Funds space. This includes conducting market analysis, soliciting client feedback, defining and communicating the product roadmap, and prioritising work for the development team in conjunction with technology and the broader product team.

Assessing appetite for new features at an early stage, evaluating business viability at all stages, and allowing these to be challenged and enriched in the product governance process, you will focus on delivering value-added features to your robust product set.

Quality and compliance are critical for the product set. You, with support from the Operations and Quality Assurance teams, will ensure the highest standards are maintained, especially when introducing new features.

Participating in the day-to-day development of new features, you will coordinate with Engineering to ensure clarity on "why" and "what" you are delivering, and when. The Engineering team will handle "how" it is delivered. You will foster mutual trust between these teams.

The successful candidate will have experience from asset management or asset servicing firms, likely in operational or product roles. The role involves assessing product/market fit and viability, collaborating across departments, and possibly performing the Product Owner role within Calastone's Agile process.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct product discovery, engaging in co-creation sessions with clients and gathering feedback.
2. Plan and prioritise the product backlog in collaboration with your Product Director and team.
3. Break down initiatives into manageable tasks for tracking and estimation.
4. Work with Lead Engineers to translate requirements into deliverable increments.
5. Collaborate with the Product Director on commercial viability, budgets, and sales targets.
6. Define and track KPIs to measure progress and success.
7. Ensure alignment of the end-to-end product vision across teams.
8. Propose process improvements to streamline delivery and maximize revenue.
9. Support marketing content creation and Go-To-Market strategies.
10. Assist Sales in client meetings, understanding client needs, and identifying new product opportunities.

Required Knowledge & Experience

• Results-oriented leadership with focus on revenue and costs.
• Experience in Asset Management or funds ecosystem, through roles in Fund Operations or Product management.
• Proven track record of taking products from ideation to growth.
• Innovative thinking to reinvent product sets considering industry trends.
• Experience with Agile development and promoting its adoption.
• Stakeholder management skills with demonstrated influence.
• Knowledge of disciplined Product development processes.
• Experience in client/customer-led product development, based on insights and testing.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
