The Opportunity

Cycle Pharmaceuticals based in Cambridge are seeking a talented Product Manager, Commercial, to join our Product Management team. This role is pivotal in championing Cycle’s products and patient base while managing key projects through commercial launch and beyond. You will play a critical role in defining product requirements, managing product changes across departments, and ensuring our sales and patient support teams are well-equipped with accurate product knowledge. You will collaborate with multiple teams, including Sales, Marketing, Commercial Operations, Regulatory Affairs, PMO, Quality, and Finance. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong project management skills, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams. Cycle has three core areas of pharmaceutical development and works across rare metabolic, immunological and neurological genetic conditions: improving drugs – optimizing an existing drug; repurposing drugs – creating a new indication for an existing drug; and generics – reinstating generic drugs, previously available in the market. These three areas of focus are underpinned by formulation technology – using new drug delivery technologies to improve the efficacy and effectiveness of drugs, allowing us to give patients greater freedom and choice.

Position Summary: This is a full-time position within the Product Development department, working in our Cambridge office on a hybrid basis (minimum 3 days in the office).

Key Responsibilities

  1. Champion assigned products and patient communities across the business while maintaining alignment with Cycle’s product strategy.
  2. Develop and maintain product roadmaps, ensuring management approval and cross-functional collaboration.
  3. Gain deep product knowledge of disease states and patient needs.
  4. Lead commercial product launches and patient migrations, working with the PMO where necessary.
  5. Support brand management in marketing strategy development and campaign execution.
  6. Define training requirements for products, ensuring sales and patient support teams are well-prepared.
  7. Facilitate a feedback loop from Sales, providing insights to the commercial management team.
  8. Gather and analyse market intelligence to identify strategic opportunities.
  9. Work with Commercial Operations and Data teams to support strategic decision-making.
  10. Manage relationships with Marketing Authorisation Holder (MAH) partners on commercial product aspects.
  11. Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, escalating discrepancies as needed.
  12. Maintain compliance with Regulatory, Legal, and Quality requirements.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  1. Degree (BSc/MSc) in a scientific field or relevant industry experience.
  2. At least 2 years’ experience in commercial product management (pharmaceutical experience preferred but not required).
  3. Strategic thinker with a passion for building products through insight and collaboration.
  4. Strong project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships internally and externally.
  7. Negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to challenge constructively.
  8. Self-starter with a proactive mindset, able to work autonomously or in a team.
  9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a results-oriented approach.
