What’s the opportunity?

The Product Manager, will drive the long-term vision and strategy for our filtering and firewall appliance products. Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Engineering, and business stakeholders to define product initiatives and lead the delivery of new features and improvements—ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the process.

Here’s how you’ll do it;

  • Engage directly with customers and partners to understand their needs, workflows, and problems.
  • Design and develop appliance solutions that deliver customer value and support scalable, secure networking outcomes
  • Own product initiatives end-to-end, working closely with globally distributed teams across Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Support, and Product
  • Collaborate effectively across time zones and regions to align stakeholders and drive execution
  • Build strong relationships with key customers to co-develop features, validate product direction, and gather early feedback.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in software development practices
  • Work with customer-facing teams (Sales, Support, Customer Success) to gather frontline insights and respond to evolving customer needs.
  • Mentor junior team members and make product decisions that optimize for long-term impact across systems and markets
  • Apply working knowledge of networking technologies to guide product decisions and ensure technical feasibility
  • Contribute to security, quality, risk management, and performance standards that protect customer environments and uphold product integrity

You will be accountable for

  • Execution - Deliver high-quality outcomes consistently:
  • Use proven frameworks and work with stakeholders to prioritise and build the right features at the right time, always recognising the value they will provide.
  • Monitoring, reporting on, and improving product performance using relevant appliance metrics and insights
  • Write clear feature specifications that are well understood by the development and QA teams along with the stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and participate in product development and release processes and procedures.
  • Strategy – Set a compelling direction for your product
  • Contribute to the development of the product roadmap, aligning customer needs, business goals, and technical feasibility
  • Evaluate customer feedback, feature requests, and product gaps to inform and evolve product direction
  • Develop and execute go-to-market launch plans that align with broader business strategy
  • Leadership – Inspire and align stakeholders
  • Represent the voice of the customer in planning, prioritisation, and leadership discussions
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Support, and QA—including teams across time zones and geographies
  • Mentor junior team members and influence decisions that optimise for long-term value
  • Support internal promotion of the product through sales enablement, training, and cross-functional alignment
  • Evaluate customer feedback, feature requests and issue reports to develop new and enhance existing features.
  • Customer insight – Understand customers and build great experiences
  • Facilitate collaborative concept and design sessions to explore and shape product ideas
  • Perform product demos and engage directly with customers to gather insights and build relationships (particularly in B2B contexts)
  • Write clear, concise release notes that communicate value to both internal teams and customers
  • Continuously deepen your understanding of networking technologies and appliance use cases to inform product decisions

This role requires:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, Networking or Business) or equivalent industry experience
  • 5+ years experience in a product management or product ownership role, ideally in filter/firewall appliances or networking domains
  • Proven experience overseeing all aspects of the product development lifecycle.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams across regions and time zones, including Engineering, QA, Sales, Support, and Marketing
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate product vision and technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Experience in software and web development.
  • Working in EdTech or education environments is desirable.
