What You'll Be Doing

As a Product Manager at Alana, you'll be at the center of how we design, ship, and evolve our AI agents. You'll work hands-on with engineers, designers, and customers to build agent-powered products that handle thousands of conversations a day, and deliver real business value.We see AI agent development as a major leap forward in how software is built and used. You'll be at the forefront, designing the tools and infrastructure to power this evolution.

• Build Best-in-Class AI Agents - Partner with engineering to design agent behaviors, surface areas, and capabilities that are robust, intuitive, and adaptable.
• Deeply Understand Customers - Collaborate directly with end users and stakeholders across enterprise teams to uncover needs, gather feedback, and shape impactful solutions.
• Drive Implementation - Lead the scoping, launch, and iteration of agent-driven workflows, balancing speed, stability, and craft at every step.
• Communicate with Clarity - Translate technical concepts into clear narratives for executive audiences, and shape internal understanding of AI system behavior.
• Influence the Product Roadmap - Identify patterns across customers and contribute directly to the direction of our platform and underlying agent architecture.
• Be a Strategic Partner - Act as a trusted thought partner to our customers, helping them deploy, optimize, and evolve agent experiences.

Extra Credit

• 5-7+ years in product development, ideally for technically complex systems
• Experience leading end-to-end product work, scoping, shipping, and iterating, in partnership with engineering teams
• Strong communication skills and the ability to tailor messaging to technical, non-technical, and executive audiences alike
• A solid grasp of current AI trends and a desire to work at the frontier
• Degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience)-you don't need to code daily, but you can speak dev fluently
• Past roles that involved working closely with customers or go-to-market teams
• Hands-on experience with AI-native products, agent tooling, or LLM applications.
