Job description

Product Manager – Digital Products & Customer Experience
  • London | Hybrid
  • Up to £65,000 + bonus

We’re recruiting two Product Managers to join the growing technology and customer experience function of a large, international B2B organisation.

This is a great opportunity for experienced Product Managers who enjoy working across a complex digital ecosystem, rather than owning one standalone product.

You’ll take ownership of products and customer journeys used across a large portfolio of live events, working across areas including registration, CRM, event apps, exhibitor platforms, data products and other digital tools.

The environment is fast-moving and there are plenty of moving parts. You’ll need to understand what users and the wider business actually need, decide what should be prioritised and then work with technology teams, internal stakeholders and external suppliers to make it happen.

The Role

You’ll own the direction and roadmap for your product area, taking ideas and problems from discovery through to implementation and ongoing improvement.

You’ll be responsible for:
  • Owning product strategy, priorities and roadmaps
  • Understanding customer and business needs and translating them into clear product requirements
  • Working across multiple digital products, platforms and customer journeys
  • Managing several priorities and projects at the same time
  • Working closely with UX, CX, CRM, Engineering, Data, Sales, Marketing and Operations
  • Managing relationships with external technology vendors and suppliers
  • Challenging suppliers where necessary and ensuring agreed changes are deliveredMaking sensible decisions around scope, priorities and investment
  • Supporting pilots, testing and new product initiatives
  • Measuring adoption, customer experience and commercial impact
  • Continually improving products based on user feedback and data
What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who has already operated as a Product Manager in a reasonably complex environment.

You don't necessarily need events industry experience, but you should be comfortable working across multiple products, systems and stakeholder groups.

Ideally, you’ll have:
  • Previous Product Management experience within digital products or platforms
  • Experience owning products and roadmaps rather than simply supporting another Product Manager
  • Experience working across multiple products or interconnected systems
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to work with people across an entire business
  • Experience working directly with developers, technology teams and external vendors
  • Good understanding of CRM and customer data
  • Experience of platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot or comparable CRM/marketing technology
  • An understanding of APIs, integrations and how data moves between different systems
  • Experience working alongside UX/UI and customer experience teams
  • The ability to balance customer experience, commercial requirements and technical realities
  • Enough confidence to challenge, make decisions and keep projects moving
The Environment

This isn't a role where you'll disappear into a product team and look after one isolated piece of technology.

The organisation operates a large portfolio of B2B events, with digital products supporting delegates, exhibitors, sales teams and event teams across the business.

That means there is genuine scale and complexity: multiple products, different customer journeys, numerous internal stakeholders and external technology partners.

The technology function is also moving towards a more structured product-led way of working, so you'll be joining at a point where you can genuinely influence how things are done.

The Person

You’ll probably enjoy this role if you're naturally curious, commercially aware and comfortable spinning a few plates.

You don't need to know everything on day one, but you do need to be someone who will get into the detail, understand the business and quickly become a trusted person that colleagues can come to.

We're particularly interested in people who can demonstrate the scale and complexity of what they've personally owned — not simply the number of years they've worked in Product.
